I've been wanting to do a readalong for a while, but could never pick a book that's intimidating enough to need a group effort, popular enough that lots of people want to read it and obscure enough that everyone hasn't already read it before.
In case anyone is unaware, a readalong is a long term (at least a couple of weeks) blog event (and Twitter too). We all read the same book at the same pace. I'd make a list of the weeks we'd be reading and which chapters each week, so we could all discuss the book without revealing anything others may not have reached yet. We'd post about the book on our blogs and discuss it in the comments and on twitter.
Here are some of my ideas. Let me know if you have any interest in any of them and please share your suggestions as well.

I haven't read The Time Traveler's Wife or Pillars of the Earth. I really struggled through my last Austen attempt.

lol I'd be down for Northanger Abbey (its one of the few Austen's I re-read often).
I would be in for pretty much any of those. The only one that I've read before is The Time Traveler's Wife, but it was long enough ago that I'd read it again.
Great idea! I'm in. The only book on that list I haven't read is Pillars of the Earth, but I love the other books listed, esp. TTTW, so I'd be willing to do a re-read!
I vote for any of the Jane Austen titles. I've never finished any of her books and some encouragement would be welcome.

I have Persuasion sitting on my shelf, waiting to be read. I would definitely be up for a Persuasion Readalong!
I'd reread the Austens or Pillars of the Earth.
You could do what Allie at A Literary Odyssey does - have a list of titles in a poll and those interested in participating vote.

I've read Persuasion twice already but either of the other two, Sense and Sensibility in particular, looks good to me!
I've done a read along on my site and really enjoyed the experience. I think these are all great titles! I like the idea of the Austen books.
I vote for The Time Traveler's Wife. It has been sitting on my shelf for too long! Plus, I've always wanted to do a readalong! All of the choices you listed would work for me!

I'd go for either Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen or Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I have both of these sitting on my shelf but haven't gotten around to them.
I would love to do any of the Austen...although Northanger Abbey is a particular favorite! But any of the Austen would have me joining in!
